ITINERARY

Our adventure starts at Victoria Falls, one of Nature’s Seven Wonders, with a high-tea at the splendid colonial Victoria Falls Hotel and a view over the gorge that flows away from the waterfall. This is followed by a visit to Hwange National Park, one of the oldest and most beautiful National Parks in Southern Africa, to enjoy 3 days of relaxation and safaris. Including a fascinating visit to the Painted Dog Conservancy to support their work for one of the world’s most endangered species.

Next is Zimbabwe’s oldest modern city, Bulawayo, with a centre packed full of colonial buildings and an impressive Natural History Museum. Our visit here will include a tour of the Makokoba township
to learn how to play traditional African drums.

A short distance from the city lies the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Matobo Hills, a unique prehistoric landscape of huge, balancing granite rocks and wonderful 20,000-year-old rock paintings. Including a visit to the local traditionally painted homes. We will spend a night in the peaceful park.

Our last stop and overnight visit will be to the oldest ancient man-made structure in sub-Saharan Africa, Great Zimbabwe. This was once the site of an extensive and prosperous settlement - discover
the magic of this unique locale.
